About this artwork
This artwork was created exclusively in this Garapeira wood, tulle, and natural aragonite stone configuration, suspended from a metal chain. Part of the Nalendece series, Evolvia explores the relationship between natural materials and the transformations we experience as human beings. Sculpted wood carries the marks of time and experience, while raw natural stones represent something deeper and enduring within us — our essence.
Evolvia was born… from the discomfort of facing a moment of profound transition, when certain certainties, identities, and facets of the self needed to melt away. The work reflects the process of letting go of what no longer belongs to us in order to make space for what is beginning to emerge. Like matter changing form, we can lose familiar structures without losing our essence. Evolvia is about embracing transformation and allowing ourselves to become who we are meant to be.
