Sculpture from the Equilibrio series, female figure enshrined within an iron circle. The figure is made of polyurethane resin, it is patinated with acrylic. This figure is a diver who is emerging towards the surface. Relating diving to meditating, she emerges to the surface, renewed after a session of mindfulness. The color gold represents the gold that meditation brings, the gold of living in the present, here and now, with the 5 senses and the… mind awake. captures the essence of movement and human freedom. Through this ethereal corridor, enclosed in a circle that symbolizes the infinite cycle of life, I seek to convey the perpetual search for balance and harmony. Ideal for adding a touch of inspiration and dynamism to any space, this piece invites reflection and personal motivation.
Vicky Pérez is an Argentine and Spanish sculptor living in Mallorca who works in ceramics and resins. His technique includes modeling in clay and baking his pieces in a ceramic oven, or alternatively, making molds for his works and unmolding them in resin, cement or other materials. To finish his figures he uses cold polychrome, inspired by Egyptian and medieval art. This feminist artist imbues her works with the vitality and love of life, typical of the female gender, so contrary to war and destruction. Transmitting a message of empowerment towards women and invoking a more just, pacifist and respectful society.
