About this artwork
In this work I intertwine acrylic and oil to create an abstract scene of the crucifixion of Jesus. The flowing shapes and blurred lines reflect ephemeral, almost dreamlike states. The pale colors contrast with the violent surroundings. My goal was to transport the viewer into the stirring atmosphere that dates back over 2,000 years.
