About this artwork
In this work, acrylic, oil, and varnish merge to symbolically depict the suffering of Christ. The pain of the world is expressed in the face of Jesus. The color blue, which dominates this work, symbolizes (especially in Judaism) God, faith, and revelation, and thus the sins that were forgiven here through his death.
