About this artwork
This painting of a vibrant rooster is a testament to the expressive power of the post-palette style. I worked with an unlimited palette of colors, focusing on building up the image in layers of thick, textured paint. The rooster's plumage is a symphony of reds, oranges, blues, and iridescent greens, each painted piece capturing the energy and movement of its feathers. I relied heavily on the dried paint scraps from my palette, their unexpected textures…
and colors adding a unique depth and dimension to the artwork. This painting celebrates the rooster's vibrant colors and the post-palette technique's creative potential.
This artwork embodies the essence of awakening and resilience, aiming to invigorate any space with a splash of life's relentless energy.

Vidyut is a landscape artist who intensely appreciates the natural world and whose work celebrates Mother Nature's vibrant hues and ever-changing beauty. Inspired by the dramatic shifts in the sky, the crashing waves, and the serene beauty of mountain ranges, her paintings capture the essence of these scenes with vibrant colors and dynamic textures. Employing an impasto style with acrylics and palette knives, Vidyut creates works with a palpable sense of depth and luminosity. The thick layers of paint evoke a three-dimensional quality, inviting viewers to experience the landscapes as if they were stepping into the painting.
