« Painting for me is a form of spirituality. »
Vincent Bardou is a French street artist known for his works that mix street art, pop art and contemporary art. Born in Vitry-sur-Seine, he was immersed from childhood in a vibrant urban environment that forged his unique style. After training in graphic design and years as a graphic designer, he turned to painting, finding in the city walls an ideal medium to express his creativity.
Inspired by popular culture, he pays homage to iconic characters such as Disney, Marvel, and cinema, while integrating techniques of graffiti, oil painting, and Posca markers. Bardou mixes figurative and abstract elements, creating striking contrasts between realistic subjects and colorful and chaotic backgrounds. His influences, such as Banksy, are reflected in an engaged and urban art, dealing with modernity, human nature and the environment.
