About this artwork
With bold lines and striking contrasts using acrylic, charcoal, and ink. Inspired by comics and expressionism, I wanted to capture the intense surge of agony that overwhelms the human spirit. The scene before you cast two people screaming in agony, tearing them apart. Pain reflects pain. Like a mirror, one human being is still a human being. That learns, loves, and wants to be with another person. Only to reflect the anguish, one feels from a soul…
shattering event in life. Imagine these two lost a child together, the pain of one, is the pain of the other. I really feel I've expressed myself and my demons which haunt me to this day. The worst horror ever expressed on humanity, losing a child. This is the aftermath of that situation, and the horror of agony. Which is why the name, Agony. This I've experienced along with my wife for going on four years. You never stop loving a child, you've raised. All that is left is Agony.
