About this artwork
With 'Euphoria's Embrace,' I wanted to capture a moment of pure, overflowing bliss. The smile is the central element, radiating contagious joy. I deliberately chose unconventional colors for the skin and hair, particularly the green of the curls, to add a surreal touch and demonstrate that emotions often transcend what is purely visible. It's about portraying inner vibrancy and the feeling of being absorbed in a moment of happiness. The bright pink… background enhances this euphoric mood, enveloping the figure in an aura of positivity. It's a celebration of laughter and the ability to fully surrender to the feeling of joy.
Artist Wendy Habegger combines her passion for painting and baking, specializing in acrylic painting. After a career as a baker and pastry chef, she combines various techniques and styles, creating a multifaceted visual language and deliberately pushing the boundaries between analog and digital aesthetics. Her experimental approach and her play with perception and illusion in the form of grid structures and overlays convey emotions, playfulness, and irony, as well as deeper themes of identity and self in the digital space.
