About this artwork
It is a small sculpture that is inspired by the traditional "Pieta theme". A lifeless figure is dealt with thematically, with a dramatic exertion and attention from another figure, which tries to lift the motionless with all his might, straight from the ground. Wolfgang Eckert is a sculptor based in Germany whose works have been exhibited both nationally and in France.
