About this artwork
Inspired by the duality of "Wonderland" on the other side of the mirror, this play explores the idea that we do not live in one world, but in two parallel realities that constantly intertwine.
The World of Matter: Represented by rich textures, rugged terrain, and earthy tones. It is our grounding, the tangible reality beneath our feet.
The World of the Spirit: Illustrated by these abyssal blues and the flashes of gold and silver that seem to spring… from the central fissure. It is the world of dreams, intuition, and pure magic.
While working on this canvas, I wanted to capture this luminous fissure at the center. It represents this narrow passage—the mirror—that allows us to shift from one to the other. Both worlds are real. They are always there, vibrating against each other.
