About this artwork
In this work, I sought to capture the energy and vitality of a day in port. Bright colors, abstract movement, and dynamic lines convey joy and activity. With pastels, pencils, charcoal, and Indian ink, I created a space where the imagination navigates between reality and dream, inviting escape and contemplation. It is a celebration of life, an invitation to feel the exuberance of a festive moment.
Yves Maximo, self-taught artist, creates oil paintings on linen and mixed media works on paper. His technique is governed by what satisfies his line, even simple objects like wood or string. Strongly influenced by Dali, Picasso and Miro, his style reaches the abstract, illustrating his fascination with the sea, color, heat and the feminine. His creations vibrately evoke freedom of expression and the joy of achieving one's life, capturing the very essence of human inspiration and ambition.
