About this artwork
My first painting similar to this work was titled ‘Projection’ and this minimalist style is also a conceptual abstract of mine. Seemingly simplistic, but not entirely and also easy on the eye with lively colours, with a subtle complimentary backdrop. It is also a play of light and shadow almost cognitive to each other, again complimentary. Simultaneously, the lively colour choice have a careful balance throughout, transcending to an almost calmness.…
The piece is also versatile in the sense that one would be able to turn it on the side as well from how it is presented and still keep a good perspective of the work. Taking a closer look, you may have noticed it is not signed on the front but on the back with this in mind, so it will not look odd at either angle. The choice could well depend on whether you are left or right-handed.
The painting is mostly done by brush and very little colour pencil on a square gallery wrapped stretched canvas which is painted neatly on the sides too.
