Absence – Presence - curated by Giulia Falcone

A curation by Giulia Falcone, Art Expert || • Curator • Senior Advisor • Critic • Mentor at International Galleries and Institutions - This curation explores the value of presence evoked by absence. It's not bodies that appear, but the clues that suggest their passage: an apple left on the bed, a door left ajar, laundry hanging out to dry, the light left on. These are powerful signs, capable of transforming space into a narrative. The paintings thus become charged with atmosphere, becoming suspended places where every detail vibrates with meaning. The scene seems to hold a held breath, as if life had just brushed past the image, leaving its invisible imprint. The viewer completes what they cannot see, projecting memory, experience, and possibility. In this collection, the figure is not represented, but perceived: a subtle presence that exists in the gap between what appears and what is missing.
