A curation by Raffaella Nobili, Owner and curator at Paraventi Giapponesi - I selected images of seaside locations and forests, where the force of nature is expressed in an imposing way and prevails over man. The color palette of the works recalls the vividness of summer colors, evoking warmth on the skin; the colors are often distorted or amplified, as if the artist, in an attempt to recover a vanished memory, were infusing its emotional imprint rather than its objective reality.
Humans are never physically present, but are perceived as contemplative gazes: these landscapes, though natural, are strongly influenced by human intervention, not so much by material transformations as by the type of relationship they establish with the observer. The visual horizon, the sea, the interior of a forest, the teeming summer landscapes, unusually solitary here, become evanescent fields of perception in the memory, places of remembrance, persistent imprints shaped internally.
