Hope

Vincent van Gogh once said, “There is nothing more truly artistic than to love people.” The great American actress Stella Adler said “life beats down and crushes the soul, and art reminds you that you have one.”

Creators have the power to shift ways of thinking, to normalize discussions around conflicting paradigms, and to champion “otherness.” In a world where discrimination is still a barrier—existing simultaneously in the art world and society at large—artists and designers have the power to use their creativity to evoke messages of anti-discrimination; whether it’s related to gender, socio-economic discrepancies, love, age, heritage, race, or religion.

March 1st marks the annual global Zero Discrimination Day.

For this collection, we asked creators to submit artworks and design objects that displayed a sense of self pride or that championed uplifting marginalized voices.
