About this artwork
“Reflourishing” was created after a period of rest and introspection, inspired by the quiet transition from winter to spring. Just as nature withdraws before it blooms again, there are moments when creativity slows and clarity feels distant. I allowed that pause to unfold naturally, trusting it as part of the process.
Working with acrylic and oil pastel, I built layered textures that reflect renewal, emergence, and movement. The composition developed… intuitively, guided by a sense of release and rediscovery.
This painting speaks to cycles of retreat and growth, inviting the viewer to see moments of stillness not as absence, but as fertile ground for transformation, new energy, and the return of creative flow.
