Robot belongs to the Origins of Abstraction collection and offers a reflection on the relationship between the primordial dimension and technological imagery. The composition is organized around a central circular core, from which modular elements branch out, evoking articulations, connections, and functional systems, suspended between organism and artificial structure. quality, as if technology itself emerged from an ancestral language. The bas-relief on a plaster background lends texture and consistency to the surface, while the use of oil, spices, and oxides generates a living, layered material marked by time. The balanced colors suggest a synthesis between the natural and the constructed, conveying a vision in which the future appears as a symbolic continuity of the origins.

Andrea Benetti is the author of the Manifesto of Neo-Rock Art, presented at the 53rd Venice Biennale. His works have been acquired by international art collections and museums (United Nations, Vatican, Quirinale, Chamber of Deputies, etc.). Several universities have conducted graduate research on his art. He has collaborated with many universities to organize exhibitions and seminars on Neo-Rock Painting (Universities of Bari, Bergamo, Bologna, Ferrara, Johns Hopkins University, Lecce, Messina, Roma Tre, and Venice). In 2020, he won the "Nettuno d'Oro" Award from the city of Bologna. His biography appears in major encyclopedias, including Treccani, De Agostini, and WikiArt, and is translated into 45 languages on Wikipedia.
