From Ann’s abstract realism collection, Iridescent Joy is an observational study in nature, a framed oil on canvas painting. A flower, with seemingly translucent petals, shimmers and floats gently atop a green wash where small groups of bubbles penetrate the surface. There is movement created by gradually swaying brushstrokes, and layers of cool colours create depth that allow the purple blossom at the centre to become the prominent focal point.…

Ann Bubis, a painter and sculptor from the United Kingdom, has exhibited in Germany, Czechia, the United States and the U.K. As an intuitive artist, her abstract and realistic pieces are a response to global issues concerning the environment and ‘throw-away society’, as well as ancestral history, to name a few.
