About this artwork
"The goal of the evolution of man in the three worlds - the physical, emotional and mental planes - is to align his triple personality with the egoic body, until he reaches the straight line and man becomes the One. Every life that The personality lives is represented, at the end of it, by a geometric figure. Man today is dedicated to many activities and by force of circumstances, totally polarized in the lower self, either in the emotional or mental… body. As long as the polarization is purely physical or emotional, you will never feel the need to meditate. Although the mental body is active, one does not feel the need to meditate until man has undergone many changes and passed many lives; the cup of pleasure and pain rushed in the course of innumerable incarnations; probing the depths of life, fully lived for the lower self, finding that all that does not satisfy.
« I wanted to be a pilot, but I ended up painting. Now I fly higher. »
Arturo Prins is an exciting Spanish artist whose style comes from a sensibility of play, discipline, freedom and rebellion, redoubled in a constant reinvention of himself. Thematically, Prins looks to delve into metaphysics, symbolism, esoteric cosmogony, while mixing in humor to soften the transcendent themes in his work. He also describes his work as being "nostalgic for the future, sometimes with a nod to the eclectic spiritualism between East and West."
