About this artwork
Strong material intensity, in which the rose is broken down and hollowed out until its internal structure is revealed.
The gesture carves the surface, generating branches and vortices, while the deep blue constructs the visual field and the warm gold emerges as an element of contrast and luminous tension. The work works through subtraction and inversion: not the flower, but its structure. The dialogue between blue and gold amplifies the perception… of the material. In this work, the shape of the rose is not given by presence, but by subtraction. Through a digging gesture that carves the material, I seek the essence of the flower in its void: its imprint, a blue echo that sinks into the memory. In this scenario, the golden branches emerge as the true protagonists; ribbons like precious sap that connect the voids, towards a luminous and vital structure.
Claudia Amadesi blends multi-material techniques and a passion for nature in her textured, minimalist works. Her works are distinguished by their ability to play with light, transform matter, and use it as a tool to deconstruct and rework reality, transporting the viewer into a spiritual dimension. The boundaries between reality and reality blur, allowing each work to reveal the fruit of a visceral and interior impulse, the drive that characterizes her expressive artistic exploration through the "groove" technique. It is a tale of emotions and sensations, a journey into the depths of the soul. The material, in her hands, becomes dynamic, coming to life in space, creating plays of light and shadow that amplify the visual experience, an invitation to a profound dialogue between the visible and the invisible, between emotion and matter.
