The artist's studio is a barge moored on the Seine, in Issy-Les-Moulineaux, very close to Paris. The artist was inspired by what she sees from her studio window. The rowers seem confused with the river. They are at the same time actors of their journey, reflections of themselves on the Seine. Corinne Malfreyt captures the emotion of a moment here by playing on a background… work on the canvas.
