About this artwork
We have a couple of barred owls that live around our home in woods of New Hampshire, and I hear them communicating almost every night in the summer time. Sometimes I catch a glimpse of one hunting in the back yard, swooping down from a branch into the tall grass. This was painted during the Harvest Moon in October 2025.

I could let AI write my descriptions, but I refuse. You’re gonna get the real me. I have a dark sense of humor, some would call it morbid, but I have a zest for life. I prefer my home to be dimly lit, but I love when sunlight comes piercing thru the windows, at dawn and dusk. The contrast between dark and light, between day and night. Not looking to make the most profound pieces. I just paint when I feel the urge.
I can’t convince you that you need my art. My only persuasion is the lack thereof. I don’t have a desire to over explain each piece; that’s for you to interpret. That’s the point. You either feel it or you don’t.
