About this artwork
This artwork is made on impregnated waterproof MDF, which made it possible to cut it out in a organic form with flowing edges. For giving a extra dimension at the artwork Bitter gave it a little reliëf by using sediment at the form in the front.
This artwork is all about grow and transformation within yourself. Inspired by these words
‘In search for the sacred you need to make efforts and energy to find it. Once you found it, conserve a relationship… with that and it will transform you, healing from internal and external trauma.’
Bitter painted this artwork in search of the sacred essence within her and reflecting back on a difficult period a few years ago. The healing is reflecting back in the artwork.
After a cold period, fysically or mentally, comes a metamorphose, a rebirth, feeling fresh like moist soil, fertile, vital and dynamic. The cold glides away, like early spring.
