About this artwork
"It's Complicated" is a painting about all the intricacies of falling in love. The roles we play, the decisions we suffer, the concessions we make, the protective coping strategies we develop, are all there. In every loving relationship we experience, good or bad, these complications exist. Some have stronger wings than others, but the gears are always turning, and we are always adjusting to right the course.
