About this artwork
This work is called Black Wanderings...Blue Shades....
Why? This painting, like the entire "Wanderings... Nuances..." series, is the result of pictorial and plastic experiments over the last ten years. Through the force of chance, I try to bring out the brilliance of forms that I then simply "sculpt" to the limits of what is possible.
I like to create spaces that vibrate depending on the mixtures, the presence or absence of the brush, or the choice… of this or that paper that blends into the ink and the oil.
I called this whole period of research WANDERINGS...NUANCES...I love these words that can rhyme with transparency, like in a stained-glass window. I wander with my inks, I tear, I glue, I repaint, I scratch...A kind of sculptor of chance...
Now it's up to you to contemplate, to search...Coves...Islands...River...Storm...Oceans...Mountains...Or nothing...Matter...Colors...Transparency...I don't know, it's up to you now!
