Two horses' bodies whirl through a bright, almost aggressive orange—a space without depth, without direction, without a firm foundation. One animal falls, the other rises—or is it a single moment, split into two states?
The work plays with physical tension, with movement in the moment of dissolution. The depiction is anatomically precise, yet expressively distorted: the bulging muscles, the twisted limbs, the wide-open, almost questioning eye.
… The flat background defies any perspective—there is no top, no bottom. Instead of space, only energy. Instead of time, a state.
This image addresses power and loss of control, departure and fall—and leaves open who falls, who defends themselves, and who frees themselves. It is a balance of force and uncertainty.
