About this artwork
This canvas, with its simple composition at first glance, with its dominant light tones of ecru, beige, brown and gold, is deceptive. So basic at first glance, it reveals itself to be complex in its pictorial treatment when examined closely, with numerous intentions of iridescent mattes and glosses, reliefs, optical effects and vibrations created by subtle nuances between background and form and oblique movements in zones. Each line is executed freehand… and presents variations in color. It invites a certain form of serenity in contemplation. It seems both frozen in time and moving. Abstract at first glance, one can easily read a large representation of subtly iridescent hills.
The canvas is signed on the back and surrounded by a fluorescent yellow strap allowing it to be presented as is.
« Every day, I quietly brush away my balances, my sensitivity, my imagination and I dream of touching the other. This is the life that I have chosen and that has chosen me, forever. »
