About this artwork
Today, silence is more necessary than words; a silence that helps us reflect, to explore other dimensions and other realities. It is necessary to understand that your gaze is what shapes the sculpture, what transforms it. It is the sum of all the gazes that fall upon it that consolidates its reality, its space, and its limits, so that the next gaze will see another sculpture, and it will be subjected to multiple modifications, as many as there are…

The work presents itself as a totem of stillness. Its verticality projects upwards, seeking a transcendence that is only attained when the viewer chooses to pause. This piece is not a finished object, but rather an invitation to dialogue; in a world saturated with quick answers, this sculpture is an open question.
Handmade from cedar wood, decorated with acrylic and finished with a hand-applied virgin wax treatment. It rests on a mahogany base.

My work is the result of a disruptive, subversive and eclectic process, without any pretension of an identity style, but rather the fruit of an insatiable, instinctive and bawdy creative process.
With my sculptures I try to contribute from my smallness to unraveling the global web that holds humanity prisoner to cruelty and injustice, showing the reality that inspires me but not copied but modified, tortured or invented, dreamed, idealized or crushed, trying to move the viewer.
What I try to do with my works is to bear witness to the present, this uncompassionate, reactionary, sexist, cruel, destructive and unjust present.
