EXODUS
The artwork “Exodus” is a visual narrative of human displacement, a metaphor for origins and the relentless search for a new horizon. It intertwines the concepts of emigration, expatriation, and pilgrimage, not only as physical acts, but also as spiritual and emotional processes that transform the individual.
Iron oxide dominates the composition, a symbol of strength and resilience, but also of the passage of time and the mark left by abandonment.… This dense, earthy material evokes the lifeblood of the earth and the memory of displaced bodies, those who leave their roots behind to reinvent themselves elsewhere.
“Exodus” is departure and transit, but also hope and reconstruction. It represents the liminal moment between what is left behind and what is not yet possessed: the uncertainty of the path, the nostalgia for what has been lost, and the will to find a new space to settle, belong, and flourish.
