This sculpture, part of the 'Roots' series, is a tribute to farm work, an activity that has marked the history of humanity. At the centre of the work is a humble iron tool, once indispensable for sharpening sickles and now transformed once again into the protagonist of a new story. The object thus becomes a symbol of resistance and perseverance. Its simple and functional shape, once an integral part of an everyday gesture, today speaks to us of a… world that no longer exists, evoking a sense of nostalgia and respect for traditions. Each of us can find a different meaning, a memory, an emotion in this work. It is an invitation to look at the past with new eyes, to value our roots. The work is treated with transparent anti-rust and wax to enhance the surface marked by time and work, it is provided with a Certificate of Authenticity and shipped in a wooden crate.
