About this artwork
In this work, I work from the idea of transformation. I didn't want to build something new, but rather to listen to what was already there and let it reveal itself little by little.
I start with a horizontal line that acts as both axis and boundary. For me, it's a meeting place: it holds the space and simultaneously maintains tension within it. Around it, the image gradually dissolves, as if the painting were preserving only the trace of what has… been experienced.
During the process, I learned to subtract more than to add. To accept that the work needed silence, pause, and breath. I'm interested in that moment when the visible becomes more subtle and the material begins to speak from memory.
I'm not trying to tell a specific story. I prefer to create an open space, where each viewer can pause and find their own meaning. For me, this piece is an exercise in refinement.
