Moor Landscape V depicts a landscape suspended in suspension – a silent zone between withdrawal and renewal. Slender trees rise from a reflective ground that seems to reflect both water and time. The vertical composition is rhythmic and contemplative, opening the view inward. Knauer's glazed applications of paint, combined with his collage-decollage technique, create atmospheric layers.
