About this artwork

Peter Knauer does not paint water lilies, ponds or bodies of water. He abstracts and remains abstract. There are numerous translucent layers of paint from which he forms forms and surfaces that, in the eye of the beholder, combine to form a world of images that radiate a calm, lightness and beauty that one finds in nature when one becomes one with the perception of the moment .
