About this artwork
This is an ode to the club of 27. All artist who died at the age of 27. Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, Jean-Michel Basquiat and many more. This is an ode to the rock 'n roll and a reminder to always be yourself! No matter how crazy you are, never change!
I never create a painting in one day, but this one I did. I painted and uploaded this painting on April 5th 2021. Why, you ask? This day is the day Kurt Cobain is dead exactly 27 years.… Today he is just as long dead as he was alive.
Painted with different kinds of acrylics, spray paint, oil stick and pastel on stretched canvas. The style is a blend of pop art and neo-expressionism. It is ready to hang, ready to rock 'n roll!
