About this artwork
In this work I continue my research on color as a mental and perceptual space.
For me, beige is not a neutral shade, but a living field, a surface on which time, matter, and light slowly settle.
I work with subtle layers and veils: each layer allows the echo of what lies beneath to emerge, like a fragile, barely perceptible trace. The internal rectangle is not a geometric shape, but a presence: a threshold, a zone of silence, a point of visual… concentration.
I'm interested in building surfaces that don't impose themselves, but that invite you to stay.
Works that do not ask to be understood, but to be experienced.
The satin finish has brought to the surface chromatic traces of the first stratifications, making the process and the time of the work visible.
Untitled (Beige Field), 2025 is a place more than an image: a suspended space, minimal and profound, designed to dialogue with the gaze over time.

I'm a self-taught painter, and what sets me apart is my free and instinctive use of color, which in my work is layered to create dense textures and crowded urban landscapes. I began with more spontaneous and light-hearted works, then evolved towards a more conscious and critical approach. At the same time, I explore abstraction with works inspired by Pollock and Rothko. My Cities are born from abstract foundations. The City as a complex organism that reflects the contradictions of our time. My series explore three great fragilities: the vulnerability of cities to climate change, the wounds inflicted by man through wars and manipulated ideologies, and the inequalities between glittering centers and forgotten peripheries. I paint universal, non-geographic cities as a metaphor for the human condition: places that bear the hopes, scars, and tensions of our time.
