About this artwork
In Side by Side, I explore the quiet beauty of human connection, that delicate moment where two beings exist together in stillness, side by side, sharing both presence and distance. The figures seem to emerge from a fading memory, their gestures soft and understated, as if suspended between dream and recollection.
I wanted this painting to feel like a moment you might have witnessed once,intimate yet unreachable. The viewer becomes a silent observer,… standing just outside the frame, sensing closeness without truly entering it.
For me, this work reflects the tension between what we hold on to and what slips away. It’s about how connection can transcend time, how the essence of being “side by side” can linger long after the moment itself has passed.
Painted with high-quality oil on premium linen, the canvas extends approximately 7 cm beyond each edge, allowing it to be stretched on a 50 × 80 cm frame. The work will be carefully rolled and shipped in a secure tube, signed on the back
