It is quite a long way to the Racetrack area within Death Valley. It actually took decades for scientists to figure out why stones ‘wandered’ on the dry ground, leaving such tracks behind. A very specific combination of rain, wind and temperature is needed to set these chunks in motion.
The image is available as part of a limited edition of seven copies or in a larger format as a ‘unique piece’.
