About this artwork
This piece is my interpretation of women born under the zodiac sign of Sagittarius, which is my own sign. It embodies the freedom of the spirit in motion. The female body, curved backward, is the bow that projects the arrow, poised to take flight. I use aluminum to convey both lightness and strength. I assemble materials like aluminum and copper, which I reclaim from discarded objects, joining them with various wire meshes. I fuse textures that evoke…
