About this artwork
In this sculpture, I seek to convey the joyful gait of the female figure with a touch of rebellion. I used aluminum wire for the structure, and on top of it, through wire stitching, I constructed the female torso with molded wire mesh.
I use the hanger as a symbol of the importance of clothing in how we present ourselves to others. I create movement and lightness by combining metallic textures with vibrant colors borrowed from the colored aluminum… caps of wine bottles. I express strength and rhythm in an unusual way, making this piece bring dynamism and personality to any space where it is displayed. It's a dialogue between art and life!
