In my country house, I project my idea of refuge and rest. I envision… architecture as an open space, where living means being in direct contact with the landscape and the light. I'm interested in that feeling of clarity and silence that arises when the surroundings become part of everyday life.
The environment represents for me moments of pause and contemplation, places where time seems to stand still. Through this work, I seek to express a more conscious way of living, in balance between the built environment and nature.
Adrian González Torres (Cuba, 1993) showed an early interest in color drawing and sculpture, creating wooden figures inspired by his imagination. He participated in workshops and art competitions until he confirmed his vocation, which solidified when he entered the Professional School of Visual Arts in his province, where he graduated in sculpture. Later, he expanded his practice to include painting, curating, and photography, participating in competitions and group exhibitions. He currently resides in Madrid, where he continues to create and works with the Tape Art technique, developing a geometric, abstract, and figurative style characterized by contrasts, precise lines, and transparencies. His work invites introspection, celebrates the everyday, and expresses a search for balance and harmony within the complexity of life.
