About this artwork
The intention of "Stained Glass" is to explore the relationship between human and virtual identity. The blue glass cube symbolizes mental and emotional boundaries, trapping fragments of thought within its geometric structure, while the futuristic lenses represent the search for clarity in an increasingly digital world. The figure's contemplative gaze suggests a disconnection, as if observing an uncertain future, highlighting the duality between the… human and the technological, and the fragility of our essence in this modern age.
Adrian González Torres (Cuba, 1993) showed an early interest in color drawing and sculpture, creating wooden figures inspired by his imagination. He participated in workshops and art competitions until he confirmed his vocation, which solidified when he entered the Professional School of Visual Arts in his province, where he graduated in sculpture. Later, he expanded his practice to include painting, curating, and photography, participating in competitions and group exhibitions. He currently resides in Madrid, where he continues to create and works with the Tape Art technique, developing a geometric, abstract, and figurative style characterized by contrasts, precise lines, and transparencies. His work invites introspection, celebrates the everyday, and expresses a search for balance and harmony within the complexity of life.
