About this artwork
This work belongs to the NATURE series, in which I explore nature and life in its various forms, visible and less visible, macro and micro, perceivable through the senses or the soul, through sensations, memories, and visions. This work was born as a suggestion of shapes and colors that arise from the observation of reality but also from the reworking of reality through emotion, the unconscious, and the subconscious.
Alessandra Merli uses a variety of natural materials such as sand, stone, glass, paper, wood, and fabric, combining her classical training with philosophical passions. Her technique encompasses abstract art, informal art, abstract expressionism, and conceptual art, giving visual form to values, principles, and metaphysical concepts through signs, colors, and words. In her paintings, she conveys profound emotions and invites reflection on beauty, spirituality, and the essential values of existence, encouraging the viewer to elevate themselves and rediscover the meaning of life.
