**“The Hermit”**

This painting is from the series “Memories of Past Lives.” In my deepest feelings, I often returned to one of my most remarkable lives — I was a hermit, sitting in silent meditation in a Himalayan cave. It was then that I attained profound mystical insights that forever changed my soul.
On the canvas, I captured this moment: a lone silhouette against the backdrop of gigantic rocks, where the… light breaking through from the crevice mingles with the rough texture of the stone, conveying that state of absolute detachment.
But now, looking back at that life, I clearly understand my true task in this incarnation. I don’t need to run away to the mountains again — it’s time to come down from the peaks, to consolidate those ancient spiritual achievements and carry them through the simple, earthly human life, remaining among people.
