Spending time in the Catskill Mts., New York is not only lovely to view but lovely to be in the sunshine and cool temperatures. I was outside with a group of painting companions painting alla prima (all at once) en plein air (outside). We all paint at the same location but each painting is very different. I paint loosely with watercolor using large brushes. I make no preliminary drawing and no photographs and the painting is quickly done. This…
