About this artwork
The technique I use, with which I apply countless layers of paint over a longer period of time, incorporate details and materials and then paint over them again, is one of my basic working methods alongside glaze painting. The aim is to simulate a naturally occurring surface, which often only allows further planning of the completion of the motif in the last few weeks of its completion.
In this painting, explosive colors and dynamic textures combine… to create a visual symphony. I used acrylic to explore both abstraction and figuration, creating the image of an enigmatic figure that seems to peer out from the chaos. This work is a personal reflection on the complex nature of human emotion and identity, caught in the turmoil of a fictional future world. I want this artwork to become a source of inspiration and energy in any room it hangs in.
« Art that fascinates me is often like a symbiosis of philosophical magic and good craft. »
