About this artwork
The technique he uses, with which he applies countless layers of paint over an extended period of time, incorporating details and materials, and then painting over them again, is one of the artist's fundamental working methods, along with glaze painting. The goal is to simulate a naturally occurring surface, which often only allows for further planning of the subject's completion in the final weeks of its completion.
This work emerged from a deep… emotional energy, which I captured with acrylic and collage. Expressive and figurative, it depicts inner conflict and tension, reflecting current events. Every play of color and texture speaks of intensity and chaos, challenging the viewer to engage with it. I wanted this painting to imbue your space with a powerful, vibrant atmosphere that inspires reflection.
« Art that fascinates me is often like a symbiosis of philosophical magic and good craft. »
