In this work, language and painting merge into a unified visual world. A loving couple, a Mediterranean landscape, luminous poppies, sun and moon move between dream and reality.
The large-format lettering deliberately breaks with the classic pictorial composition. Words become forms, overlapping landscape and figures, and seem to extend beyond the boundaries of the canvas.
… Bold shades of blue, red, yellow, and green intensify the emotional tension and joie de vivre of the work. At the same time, the painting depicts a state in which love transforms our perception and the seemingly impossible can become possible.

Inspired by nature and modern media, Andreas Gerlach develops an independent visual language in which geometry, abstraction, color and rhythm merge.
Influenced by his training as a graphic designer and his studies in mechanical engineering, he combines constructive precision with intuitive, free design. His paintings, created entirely by hand, exist in the tension between clear geometric structures and expressive color.
Music plays a central role in this. Gerlach explores how rhythm, sound, and dynamics influence our emotions and perception. He translates these invisible effects into visual compositions, multi-layered structures, and intense color spaces.
For Gerlach, the completion of a painting does not necessarily mean its final state. Individual works can undergo changes. However, the sale concludes the process.
