About this artwork
The painting was created in 2024 in Sytniaky, Kyiv region, at my parents’ home. The painting is called “Irises.” It depicts a small section of my mother’s garden, which she plants with a variety of flowers every year. Irises are one of my favorite flowers, and in this painting, white and blue irises are featured. The composition is built on the contrast between the white and blue flowers and the rich green leaves that fill the entire canvas. The…

For this painting, I was inspired by the artistic techniques of European masters such as Paul Cézanne, Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Georges-Pierre Seurat, Édouard Manet, and Paul Gauguin. Impressionism holds a special place in my heart and serves as a constant source of inspiration. In my work, I often experiment and create paintings in the style of Pointillism.

Andrii Chebotaru (also - Andrey, Andriy) is a Ukrainian master of painting, specializing in Impressionism and Pointillism.
