“Coming to the Light “ Is a piece focused on geometric relationships (shapes, circles, squares , triangles) as objects and piece subjects. All objects depict the reality of life’s lessons. While we live through many lessons, a crucial lesson relates to coming to a point in life brightened from something (a time ) in our past. That something may very well have been perpetrated or done in the dark.

As the old adage states:… “What’s done in the dark always comes to light.”’ The piece was created In Monochrome to highlight the light and the dark as well as fitting for any wall.

I doubt if there is an adult alive who hasn’t fallen to the lure of darkness only to have subsequent revelations come to light. Some were lucky; some were not. It is actually possible the “light” brought forth more “darkness”.

As the late Bob Marley once sang. “Running Away”…….Can’t run away from yourself.

A visual lesson that exudes: a fantastic holiday gift.

Exciting US painter Andy Hollimon has never taken an art class in his life. It was after military service and a business career, that Hollimon discovered his natural gift for painting. Working mainly with oil paints, Hollimon is a realist painter, but admits to approaching realism with 'on canvas twists'. Such twists include surprising color schemes, moments of abstraction, and perspective shifts. Hollimon's paintings are luminous, mysterious, and joyful. Full of revelations, they invoke delight and invite contemplation.
