About this artwork
This photo is of a loch in Scotland. The photo was taken as the sun had just set. It is a realistic portrayal because it was so beautiful. The orange sky is reflected in the water and the mountains were a deep blue. The foreground is very dark and provides a sharp contrast with the colours in the water. It is painted in acrylic on a gallery canvas. I created some texture with the use of modelling paste. The sides of the canvas are painted in Paynes…
